The Azera is quick, from a 263-horsepower, 3.8-liter, V-6 engine. For a moment I thought that Hyundai had made the perfect midsize family sedan. After all, it comes standard with eight airbags and Electronic Stability Control for better traction. But then I tried to stop fast, and it took almost forever. Bigger brakes for this car’s for-midable engine would have made the difference, and here’s where I question Hyundai’s favoring all the luxe details over higher-quality mechanics. Probably all of us would pay a little extra for that peace of mind.
Tip: Throw in $2,500 for extras like power pedals and an Infinity sound system.
