The Rockets managed to win two of their three games without Parsons, who is in the midst of a breakout year, with averages of 17.5 points (on 51.7 percent shooting) and 5.4 rebounds.
Houston will be without Omer Asik, who was nearly traded to Boston a month ago but is out with a bruised thigh, and guard Patrick Beverley, who broke a bone in his hand.
Houston is currently 24-14, good for the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference. The Celtics, though, have lost eight straight games.
